Welcome to my hyperessay!
Hi! My name is Madison Elias. I created a hyperessay for my English 363 class- Race, Gender, and Making Media. This collection of essays is based off of many readings that I have worked with in this class. Two books that I particularly focus on are Does That Face-'Book' Come in Braille: Social Networking Sites and Disability, and Race After the Internet. The reading by Kate Ellis and Mike Kent, Does That Face-'Book' Come in Braille, outlines the trouble that disabled people have in accessing social networking sites. My hyperessay displays my opinion on this reading, as well as my opinion on the stakeholders who have a say in this unjustness. Race After the Internet is a collection of essays that display the differences in Internet use across different cultures. There are many people who have a say in the unfair treatment of the disabled and have not yet used their power to fix the situation. Each essay is about a different group of people, yet are all revolved around the same problem.
